Andrey is a Researcher at the Lappeenranta University of Technology and an Assistant Professor at the Saint Petersburg State University. Actively involved in several interdisciplinary projects that lie at the intersection Information Technologies and Management, including Human/HCI Side of Cyber Physical Systems and Human and Sustainability Concerns in Software Systems teams at LUT as well as Laboratory on Economic Performance and the Environment at SPbU.
Besides broad range of academic interests, Andrey’s prime research lies at the intersection of product development and business strategies for software companies. In his Candidate of Science thesis in Russia Andrey proposed an economic model for software market to support product strategy decision-making. Further work in this research direction led Andrey to LUT, where he conducts a study under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Seffah aimed to bridge the gap between software development and software marketing by developing a formal model informing human decisions.
